So for the Economist magazine, I like to read the "Business and Technology" section first when I first get hold of the copy.
The most recent issue had an article called "Autoficial Intelligence", from which name one can deduct the content of the article: artificial intelligence in automobiles. At this week's Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen showcased Sharon, a car that can self-park upon the signal of a smartphone. This leads to a whole discussion of what future cars will be like. Some say that cars will more be like "a computer on wheels, networked with the surrounding infrastructure and other vehicles". Others say that in the future, one can find driver-less taxis on the street. Or perhaps that will only remain in science fiction?
The various innovations that car makers are undertaking are also quite interesting (albeit kind of lame). For instance, some cars now have software installed in them so that people who hire or share cars may immediately listen to their favorite radio station or other settings that suit their tastes.
